This is a highly hands-on role based in our San Francisco development lab , focused on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electromechanical robotic systems to ensure maximum uptime and reliability. This is a career-track technician role with clear growth opportunities, working closely with engineers and other technicians in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair autonomous robotic systems (mechanical, electrical, and basic software issues) Perform disassembly, repair, and reassembly of electromechanical components Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and schematics to identify root causes Perform basic Linux command-line diagnostics (SSH, logs, running commands, power cycling systems) Document findings and provide feedback to engineering teams to improve reliability Support testing and continuous operation of robots in a lab environment

Optional:

occasional travel to customer deployment sites for on-location troubleshooting Requirements 2+ years of experience as an electromechanical technician (robotics, automotive, industrial automation, warehouse systems, manufacturing, AV, or similar) Strong troubleshooting mindset and ability to isolate issues independently Experience with electrical debugging (multimeters, schematics, DC circuits) Basic Linux/CLI proficiency (SSH, logs, terminal commands) Comfortable working onsite full-time in San Francisco Experience supporting 24/7 equipment or uptime-critical systems is a strong plus Nice to Have Experience with CAN bus, ROS, or industrial communication protocols Robotics or autonomous systems exposure Data center or field deployment experience Trade school / technical diploma background Why Join Work on real autonomous robots with real-world deployments Competitive pay + equity + benefits Strong career progression for technicians Collaborative environment with close engineering support
