1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30
PM Pay:
$25.00-$27.00/hour (Depending on Experience) Position Summary IQ Resource Group is hiring a Robotic Welding Technician for a growing manufacturing client in Richmond, IL. This position supports the production of precision industrial equipment by operating and maintaining robotic welding systems, including fiber laser welding technology, while ensuring high standards of quality and consistency. The ideal candidate enjoys troubleshooting, learning new technology, and contributing to continuous process improvements. Candidates with robotic welding, laser welding, or welding automation experience are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Operate robotic welding equipment to support daily production. Load and unload parts while monitoring weld quality and consistency. Perform basic machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers. Troubleshoot welding equipment, fixtures, and production issues. Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve welding processes. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Follow all company safety and quality procedures. Qualifications Previous experience with MIG, TIG, robotic welding, or laser welding. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing drawings. Comfortable learning new equipment and manufacturing technologies. Experience with robotic programming or teach pendants is highly preferred. Ability to use measuring instruments to verify product quality. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. English communication skills required; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Stable work history with an interest in a long-term opportunity. Preferred Qualifications Experience operating robotic welding systems. Experience with fiber laser welding equipment. Ability to program or teach robotic weld paths. Experience with continuous improvement initiatives or manufacturing process optimization.
