Tier 1 Manufacturing Facility Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays Career Growth and Advancement Opportunities Annual Bonus Potential Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Robotic Weld Technician to support robotic welding operations within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, programming, maintaining, and optimizing robotic weld cells while supporting production, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience with FANUC robotic welding systems, teach pendants, welding equipment, and automated manufacturing processes. Position Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair robotic welding equipment, controls, and peripheral systems Program and modify FANUC robotic weld programs using a teach pendant Perform robot touch-ups, path corrections, offsets, and weld parameter adjustments Troubleshoot weld quality concerns including porosity, burn-through, spatter, missed welds, and fit-up issues Support robotic welding production by optimizing cycle times and improving process efficiency Perform robot recoveries, fault diagnostics, and system troubleshooting Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, process sheets, and technical documentation Assist with new product launches, weld validations, and process improvements Work with production, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues Perform preventative maintenance on robotic weld cells and welding equipment Support fixture troubleshooting and tooling adjustments as required Ensure all welds meet customer quality requirements and specifications Maintain compliance with all safety, quality, and company policies Technical Skills FANUC Robot Programming & Troubleshooting Teach Pendant Programming and Adjustments MIG (GMAW) Welding Processes Robotic Weld Cell Operation Weld Path Modifications and Touch-Ups Weld Parameter Adjustments (Voltage, Wire Feed Speed, Travel Speed) Weld Fixture and Tooling Adjustments Blueprint Reading and Weld Symbol Interpretation Root Cause Analysis and Troubleshooting Automated Manufacturing Systems Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 3+ years of robotic welding experience in a manufacturing environment Experience working with FANUC robotic welding systems Strong teach pendant programming and troubleshooting experience Understanding of MIG welding processes and weld quality standards Ability to identify and correct weld defects and production issues Experience reading blueprints, weld prints, and technical documentation Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Proven attendance and performance record Automotive manufacturing experience preferred Preferred Qualifications FANUC Robot Certification Journeyman Card Experience with Lincoln or Miller welding equipment Experience supporting robotic weld launches and process improvements Previous experience in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment Work Schedule Shift assignment based on production needs Overtime required as needed Weekend support may be required during production demands About Spark Talent Acquisition Spark Talent Acquisition is a Michigan-headquartered recruiting and staffing company that connects skilled professionals with leading employers.
