Job Description

Surgical Applications Specialist - Robotic & Imaging -
Guided Surgery Position Purpose:
EDDA Technology is seeking a Surgical Applications Specialist to serve as the primary clinical and technical expert for our surgical application platform. This field-based role focuses on training, driving adoption, and clinical excellence in operating and in Interventional rooms. You will train robotic surgeons, OR staff and Interventional Doctors by hands-on training, troubleshooting, and ongoing education—both onsite and virtually—while feeding clinical insights back to the
EDDA R&D.
Job Responsibilities:
Deliver best-in-class clinical training and education to robotic surgeons, Interventional Radiologists, and OR support staff on the approved use, setup, troubleshooting, and integration of the system into surgical workflows (pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative). Provide real-time support during live surgical cases, acting in a capacity like a
First Assistant:
assisting with system setup, workflow optimization, technical guidance, and ensuring efficient, safe use under high-pressure OR conditions. Troubleshoot application and technical issues on-site or remotely; escalate complex problems as needed and document case metrics/outcomes. Gather and report customer feedback, clinical insights, and competitive intelligence to product management and R&D to inform product improvements, training materials, and future development. Produce educational content as needed. Maintain accurate documentation of training, case support, and customer interactions in accordance with company quality and regulatory requirements. Attend and demonstrate at trade shows when needed and collaborate closely with sales and marketing. Other job-related duties as assigned. Must be based in or near New Jersey (Princeton HQ) with HQ attendance when required.
Travel:
This role requires 35-50% domestic travel.
Experience & Education Requirements:
Surg Tech First Assist (CSFA) or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), 3+ years OR experience or prior Clinical Applications/Clinical Specialist roles with medical devices. Direct hands-on experience with robotic surgical platforms (da Vinci, Hugo, Mako, or similar) in a bedside/console support role, not just observation. Comfortable in general, thoracic, hepatobiliary, or urologic surgery service lines. Direct experience with surgical medical devices, navigation systems, imaging platforms, robotics, or similar technologies. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to train and influence diverse clinical audiences under time-sensitive conditions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Experience with CRM systems is a plus. Valid driver's license and ability to travel the US, often on short notice.
Compensation/ Benefits Salary Range:
$100,000 - $130,000, 15% performance-based incentive; compensation is based on experience, education, and relevant skills.
