Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on Field Service Engineer (FSE) to install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), including autonomous forklifts, at customer sites. The ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings is essential. This is a field-based role requiring strong electrical, mechanical, networking, and software troubleshooting skills in warehouse and industrial environments. Candidates should possess a working knowledge of both hardware and software systems, including basic electrical, mechanical, networking, and computer troubleshooting. The ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in the field is essential.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. (with appropriate assistance when necessary) and perform regular standing, walking, bending, climbing, and other physical activities in warehouse and industrial environments. Work Location This is a field-based position supporting customer sites throughout the region and, when required, across the United States. Travel is an essential part of this role, and work locations will vary by project. Key Responsibilities Ø Independently perform the deployment, installation, and operation of robotic and automated equipment. Ø Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, testing, and troubleshooting. Ø Diagnose equipment issues and implement appropriate corrective actions. Ø Document service activities, equipment status, and technical issues. Ø Work directly with customers and project teams to resolve field issues. Ø Provide technical support and guidance to Field Service Technician I. Ø Follow company and customer safety procedures and work instructions. Ø Travel and work flexible schedules. Required Qualifications Ø High school diploma or equivalent. Ø 2+ years of experience in field service, equipment maintenance, manufacturing, robotics, or a related technical field. Ø Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills. Ø Ability to independently diagnose and resolve equipment issues. Ø Ability to read and follow technical documentation and safety procedures. Ø Good communication and customer service skills. Preferred Qualifications Ø Experience with robotics, automation, AMRs, AGVs, or industrial equipment. Ø Technical training or an associate degree in a related field. Ø Experience with equipment commissioning, maintenance, or startup. Ø Experience providing technical guidance to junior technicians. Physical & Work Requirements Ø Ability to work on-site and around industrial or warehouse equipment. Ø Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift equipment/tools as required. Ø Willingness to travel and work flexible schedules.
