Substitute Automation Technology Instructor Join Bridgerland Technical College as a Substitute Automation Technology Instructor! Are you passionate about automation technology and helping others develop the skills needed for today's advanced manufacturing and industrial environments? Bridgerland Technical College is seeking a Substitute Automation Technology Instructor to support our Automation Technology program in Logan, Utah. This flexible, as-needed position is a great opportunity to share your technical expertise, mentor aspiring technicians, and help prepare the next generation of automation professionals. About Bridgerland Technical College Bridgerland Technical College is one of Utah's eight technical colleges, providing high-quality technical education throughout the Bear River Region. Our programs prepare students for successful careers through hands-on, industry-focused training and learning opportunities. What You'll Do As a Substitute Automation Technology Instructor, you'll step into a hands-on learning environment and provide instructional support when regular faculty members are unavailable. You'll help students continue developing the technical knowledge, practical skills, and confidence they need to succeed in automation and advanced manufacturing.
Key responsibilities include:
Assist students with curriculum questions, coursework, and hands-on learning activities.

Provide instruction aligned with approved course outlines and learning objectives.

Support classroom, laboratory, and shop instruction.

Supervise students in classrooms, labs, and other instructional areas.

Adapt equipment, materials, and demonstrations to support learning objectives.

Promote professionalism, safety, and industry best practices.

Ensure the safe use of automation equipment, tools, technology, and instructional facilities.

Maintain an organized, productive, and engaging learning environment.

Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff.

Assist with administrative and clerical tasks as needed.

Support the overall success of the Automation Technology program. What We're Looking For We're looking for an experienced automation professional who enjoys teaching, mentoring, troubleshooting, and helping others learn.
Preferred qualifications include:
Experience in automation technology, industrial maintenance, robotics, mechatronics, PLC programming, control systems, manufacturing, or a related field.

Knowledge of industrial automation systems, electrical controls, troubleshooting, and advanced manufacturing processes.

Previous teaching, training, mentoring, or supervisory experience is preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to explain technical concepts and support hands-on learning.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Basic computer proficiency, including email and standard office applications.

Commitment to maintaining a safe, professional, and student-focused learning environment.
