We are seeking an Adjustment Technician to support the installation, maintenance, inspection, and adjustment of overhead robotic material handling systems in a semiconductor manufacturing facility. Key Responsibilities As an Adjustment Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable performance of overhead robotic production lot carriers and related systems.
Duties Include:
Assemble and adjust new robotic units for installation on overhead track systems Perform mechanical adjustments of wheels and other moving components Lubricate wheels and mechanical assemblies Adjust belt tension to ensure proper operation Teach and calibrate robot pickup and drop-off positions Verify smooth robot travel throughout the track system Ensure proper transfer of production lots between carriers and manufacturing equipment Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance activities Help ensure equipment operates cleanly and minimizes particle generation Inspect wiring and electrical connections and report any discrepancies Conduct inspections of tracks, wheels, and contact surfaces Document maintenance activities and inspection findings Follow all cleanroom, safety, and operational procedures Working Conditions Approximately 50% of work is performed on ladders up to 16 feet high Must be able to properly set up, climb, and carry ladders Will receive training for working at heights and fall protection harness use Work is performed in a semiconductor manufacturing environment
Qualifications Required:
2+ years of experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools Excellent customer service and communication skills Understanding of equipment maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting procedures Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work safely at heights and in a cleanroom environment
Preferred:
Industrial electrical or electrician training and/or experience Experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment Experience working with robotics, automated material handling systems (AMHS), or conveyor systems Why Retronix?
