• Solar that will provide electrical technical support throughout the entire construction project.

Location:

Must be open to any location in the continental United States.

Travel:

This is a 100% travel position; locations may vary based on the project. Mortenson hires for a career and not a project. When your project is complete you will be assigned to another project.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide technical lead and support for electrical portions of work projects Determine best layout of collection systems considering constraints (overhead/underground, roads/cross country, junction box locations) Review manufacturer's data for electrical scope (wiring requirements, electrical characteristics, grounding, power factor, lightning protection, generator outputs) Verify construction aligns with electrical engineering design drawings, including preparatory meetings and QA/QC Lead electrical engineering design and equipment procurement through submittals, transmittals, and RFIs Provide technical expertise to all parties involved Ensure subcontractors understand project scope during bidding and provide electrical engineering support throughout the project Communicate with local utilities for grid interconnection Perform loss calculations (100% output/annualized) Develop one-line diagrams of collection systems and substations, and standard electrical construction details Maintain relationships with site visitors (customers, architects, union representatives, subcontractors) Run site work and logistics efficiently, offering improvement suggestions Build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels Lead by example, provide effective coaching and feedback, and manage performance

QUALIFICATIONS

• $137,700 (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL
• 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR
• 10%, Washington, D.C.

5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
