Solar Inverter Team Location:

Contract Role Overview An opportunity is available for a PGD Engineer to apply a diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments related to solar power generation. This role involves independent decision-making on engineering issues and processes, with supervision related to high-level objectives. The position will focus on project management, technical analysis, and engineering oversight for utility-scale solar, BESS, and power plant operations. Key Responsibilities Develop and refine troubleshooting guides for top fault codes across all inverter technologies. Build out and maintain a fault code database and Do Not Reset (DNR) lists. Utilize AI to create troubleshooting guides and apply engineering principles to datasets to synthesize information. Serve as the primary technical liaison between the Solar Inverter Fleet Team, ROCC, and CWE, acting independently on technical matters. Complete process improvement assignments with broad terms, general objectives, and limitations. Interface with individuals and OEMs within and outside the organization with responsibility to act independently regarding technical matters pertaining to individual projects. Support component failure rate analysis and the development of work plans. Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures at solar sites. Provide assistance to field technicians and ROCC operators with troubleshooting inverter and other solar issues. Support the development of countermeasures for recurring issues.

Required Qualifications Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required. A Bachelor's degree in another engineering discipline with equivalent experience with electrical systems will be considered.

Experience:

6 to 10 years of experience in engineering. Experience with utility-scale inverters and power electronics is required.

Technical Skills:

Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with operations teams are necessary. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. 2 years of experience with solar inverters. Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Previous experience in operations support or control center environments. Compensation & Benefits The pay rate for this position is between $40.00 and $50.00 per hour.
