Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solar Field Engineer specializing in Mechanical aspects to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be integral to the successful installation, commissioning, and maintenance of solar energy projects. Your expertise in mechanical systems, construction processes, and electrical integration will drive project success from start to finish. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to sustainable energy solutions while working on diverse construction sites and technical installations. Duties Oversee the mechanical installation of solar field components, including mounting structures, fixtures, and roofing integrations, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams related to solar equipment and infrastructure Collaborate with electrical teams to coordinate high voltage and low voltage electrical connections in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards Utilize hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as forklifts to facilitate efficient installation and assembly processes Conduct site inspections for proper fixture installation, roofing integrity, plumbing connections, and overall structural stability Assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues on-site and ensure timely resolution to minimize project delays Follow safety protocols rigorously, including working at heights on roofs or elevated structures and managing construction site hazards Qualifications Proven experience working as a Mechanical Solar Field Engineer or similar role within solar or construction projects Strong knowledge of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems, schematics, and blueprint reading Experience with NEC regulations, commercial electrician practices, and electrical safety standards Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, roofing techniques, plumbing systems, and construction site equipment such as forklifts Background in construction site management with an understanding of fixture installation and roofing procedures Ability to read technical drawings accurately and interpret complex schematics for system assembly and troubleshooting Prior experience working on construction sites involving electrical work, roofing projects, or plumbing systems is highly desirable Join us in advancing renewable energy infrastructure!
