Job Description Job Overview The Aerial Pole Engineering SME will lead the resolution of complex make-ready and pole attachment issues impacting a large-scale fiber build. This person will analyze engineering discrepancies across multiple systems, resolve historical application errors, and drive pole projects from engineering through construction. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong aerial utility pole expertise who can identify root causes, develop solutions, and move projects forward with minimal direction. Day to Day

• Lead resolution of a large backlog of make-ready and pole attachment issues
• Review engineering records, pole applications, and construction data to identify inaccuracies
• Reconcile information across multiple databases and tracking systems
• Develop solutions that move delayed projects into construction readiness
• Coordinate with utilities, engineering partners, and construction teams to resolve blockers
• Validate attachment designs, pole loading, and clearance requirements
• Track high-priority issues and drive them through completion

• 5+ years of aerial telecommunications or electric utility pole engineering experience
• Strong make-ready engineering and pole attachment expertise
• Experience reviewing and resolving utility pole application issues and engineering discrepancies
• Ability to analyze data across multiple databases and systems to identify root causes and solutions
• Knowledge of pole loading, clearances, attachment requirements, and utility standards
• Experience working with utilities, engineering vendors, and construction teams Ability to read and interpret aerial fiber construction drawings and engineering packages
• FTTH or broadband deployment experience
• Utility company or pole owner experience
• Experience with Katapult, SPIDAcalc, O-Calc, ArcGIS, or AutoCAD Knowledge of joint-use agreements and utility attachment processes
