Responsibilities Prepare detailed survey drawings, exhibits, plats, and maps from field data, notes, and sketches Process raw survey data using appropriate software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D) to produce accurate base maps and deliverables. Maintain organized digital files, adhering to company standards for layer management, naming conventions, and drafting quality. Collaborate closely with survey crews, Team Leaders, and Engineers to ensure design intent and survey data are accurately represented. Perform quality control checks on drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with client or jurisdictional standards. Draft boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS Land Title, construction, and as-built surveys. Assist in creating 3D surface models, contours, and volume calculations for design and construction purposes. Review field notes, deeds, and legal descriptions to support boundary determinations. Support project setup by importing control points, coordinates, and alignments from field instruments or GIS sources. Respond to redlines, markups, and revisions efficiently while maintaining drawing accuracy and consistency. Coordinate with multiple disciplines to integrate survey data into broader engineering or planning projects. Ensure adherence to safety, confidentiality, and quality standards in all work products. Stay current on CAD standards, software updates, and best practices in land surveying and drafting. Requirements Proficiency in learning and utilizing technical platforms such as Google suite, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Monday.com and Deltek. Some coursework or training in CAD drafting or a related field is preferred but not required. Strong willingness to learn and develop skills in CAD drafting.
