Job Description

Job Description A leading civil engineering and land development firm is seeking a Land Survey Engineering Assistant to join its growing team in San Diego. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in civil engineering, land surveying, or land development. The ideal candidate will work directly with experienced survey professionals and project managers, gaining hands-on exposure to a wide variety of projects while learning industry-specific processes and tools.

No prior civil engineering experience is required. The team is looking for a highly organized, professional, and eager-to-learn individual who thrives in a collaborative environment.

ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative support to the Land Surveying team and Project ManagersAssist with coordination and tracking of multiple land development projectsSupport survey projects through data organization, documentation, and project administrationAssist with ALTA surveys, record surveys, boundary research, and encumbrance analysisDraft plats, legal descriptions, and survey-related documents using AutoCAD and manual drafting techniquesResearch and locate public records, maps, and property documentationHelp maintain quality assurance and quality control standards across project deliverablesPerform data entry, reporting, and project-related analysis as neededSupport internal project management systems and processesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deadlines and client expectations are metContinuously learn new surveying, engineering, and land development concepts Skills and Requirements 1-2 years of administrative, project support, or office coordination experience OR a recent college graduateStrong interpersonal and communication skillsComfortable interacting with clients, project teams, and executive-level stakeholdersExceptional organizational skills and attention to detailProfessional demeanor with a strong customer service mindsetHighly motivated and eager to learn new skills and technologiesExposure to the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industryBasic exposure to AutoCAD or drafting softwareAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in a related fieldExposure to civil engineering, land surveying, construction, or land development projectsExperience reviewing maps, plans, property records, or technical documentation We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
