CARLSON SURVEY/CAD.
We are looking for someone with experience in Civil Engineering, land surveying or land planning. Our work consists of site plans, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, subdivision plats, plot plans and ILC's. This is an in-house position. Our firm is willing to provide surveying and engineering specific training to supplement existing CAD skillset. Position Summary The CAD Operator/Drafter will provide field to finish drawings using Carlson Intellicad systems. Work requires the use of most conventional drafting and CAD techniques and a working knowledge of the terms and procedures of the surveying and engineering field. The CAD Operator will create and update drawings for internal projects. Duties & Responsibilities Create and edit drawings to meet PLS and CE specifications. Experience processing field data and/or willingness to learn on the job. Utilize survey grade GPS software/equipment, plotters and scanners. Maintains all site drawings in final CAD format. Ensures all paperwork such as required forms, records and files pertaining to assigned work is maintained. Self-starter with minimal supervision needed through the duration of the project. Qualifications/Education Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Surveying experience a plus Compensation is based on experience with a minimum starting rate of $22/hour.
