at State of Delaware in Georgetown, Delaware, United States Job Description This position will perform construction inspection on DelDOT Capital Construction Projects in Sussex County Delaware. Job duties will be on-site conducting quantity take-offs, ensuring construction is in compliant to DelDOT Specifications, and act as a representative of the Department in field level decisions in the construction of state highway and bridge projects. JOB REQUIREMENTS
for Engineering/Planning/Surveying Technician II Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
Construction Estimating:
Six months experience in applied mathematical computations. Knowledge of preparing and processing pay estimates and change orders for construction plans. Knowledge of reviewing contracting quantity measurements and payments to ensure compliance. Knowledge of interpreting construction plans and details, schematics or technical drawings. Knowledge of using an automated information system to enter, update, modify, delete, retrieve/inquire and report on data.
