Full Job Description Education:
Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman with experience in land surveying drafting to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with surveyors and engineers to prepare, revise, and finalize technical drawings and designs that support a wide range of surveying and engineering projects. This position offers a hands-on role in a collaborative environment with opportunities for professional growth. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with surveyors and engineers to develop, revise, and finalize project drawings and designs. Prepare precise technical drawings, schematics, and layouts for land surveying and engineering projects. Ensure all drawings meet company, client, and project standards. Review field data and incorporate survey information into drawings. Maintain organized and up-to-date drawing files and documentation. Support field teams by interpreting drawings and providing design updates as required. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred but not required. AutoCAD certification or equivalent technical training a plus.
Experience:
Land surveying drafting experience is required. Experience collaborating with engineers and surveyors on civil or site development projects preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in at least one of the following: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, In-Roads, TopoDOT, Blue Sky Evolution, Cyclone, or Trimble Business Center. Strong computer skills with Windows-based software.
Other Skills:
Excellent organizational and communication skills. Strong analytical and mathematical aptitude. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively. Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay rates with opportunities for overtime, travel pay, holiday pay, and per diem.
