Job Description
Environmental Consulting, Forestry and Surveying company in Auburn Maine is seeking applicants with a minimum of 2 years of experience in land survey work, cad drafting, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. The responsibilities of the Survey Technician include collecting data using survey instruments, field reconnaissance, marking property boundaries, construction stakeout, deed research, and computer-aided drafting and math computations. The successful candidate should have considerable knowledge of principles and practices of surveying, modern survey equipment, and GPS equipment. The position requires working for sustained periods of time in the field using tools and equipment. Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions and the ability to clearly communicate information both verbally and in writing is necessary. The applicant should have experience with Autocad and/or Carlson software. Applicants must be prepared to perform year-round field work throughout southern and western Maine.
