Job Description
We are seeking a results oriented professional with a broad working knowledge of building repair and preventive maintenance. Must be personable with excellent organizational and communication skills. Must be able to work on multiple projects at the same time. Must be self motivated and a team player.
Duties and responsibilities:
Supervises all maintenance and housekeeping staff and assures all required training is completed oversees general maintenance and janitorial duties of property- inside and out Ensure compliance with life safety code, emergency preparedness and MSDS sheets Performs general maintenance, repairs and upkeep of building and rounds Maintains project work records and reports progress to the Administrator Carries out preventive maintenance on equipment and building as necessary performs all required test and inspections as required by regulations Maintains the life safety book and ensures all documentation is included as per regulation Creates and develops policies as necessary Informs Administrator of all necessary repairs and provides quotes Manages department budgetExperience and Skill Requirements:
At least two years of prior experience in maintenance preferred. Working knowledge of State of Maine Rules and Regulations of Assisted Living Exceptional Customer Services Skills Strong written and verbal communicaiton skills Ability to understand, implement, and follow, policies and proceduresEducation/Knowledge Requirements:
- High school diploma or the equivalent preferred.
- General knowledge of building and related systems maintenance, as well as grounds maintenance.
- Knowledge of lawn care, carpentry abilities and ability to use lawn mower and snow blower.
