Survey & Geospatial Professionals We are partnered with a rapidly growing surveying and geospatial services firm in Asheville, NC that is expanding its technical and field teams to support a strong backlog of commercial, federal, infrastructure, and land development projects. With continued growth, significant investment in technology, and a reputation for a people-first culture, the organization is actively seeking experienced professionals across surveying, project management, drafting, and field operations. Current Opportunities Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) / Geospatial Project Manager The Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) / Geospatial Project Manager will be responsible for: Managing surveying and geospatial projects from proposal through final delivery. Leading ALTA, boundary, topographic, subdivision, and large-tract survey projects. Serving as the technical lead while ensuring project quality, accuracy, and client satisfaction. Coordinating field crews, CAD staff, and project stakeholders. Reviewing plats, legal descriptions, and survey deliverables. Supporting client relationships and business development efforts. Providing technical leadership and mentorship to team members. The Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) / Geospatial Project Manager should have the following qualifications: Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license preferred. Multi-state licensure is highly desirable. Georgia licensure is a significant plus. Strong background in land surveying and project management. Experience managing commercial, federal, transportation, or land development projects. Proficiency with industry-standard survey software and workflows. Strong communication and leadership skills. Survey Crew Chief The Survey Crew Chief will be responsible for: Leading field operations for boundary, topographic, and construction surveys. Performing construction staking, layout, and control surveys. Operating GPS, robotic total stations, and data collection equipment. Maintaining accurate field notes and records. Coordinating with project managers and office staff. Ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently. Serving as the field representative on assigned projects. The Survey Crew Chief should have the following qualifications: Proven experience leading survey crews. Strong knowledge of surveying principles and field procedures. Experience with modern survey equipment and technology. Ability to work independently and manage field activities. Construction survey experience is highly preferred. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Desire to grow within a high-performing organization. Survey Technician The Survey Technician will be responsible for: Processing survey data and assisting with technical project deliverables. Supporting boundary, ALTA, topographic, and subdivision projects. Preparing exhibits, maps, and survey documentation. Assisting with quality control and project organization. Coordinating data between field and office operations. Supporting project managers and survey teams. Utilizing modern geospatial technologies and workflows. The Survey Technician should have the following qualifications: Experience supporting land surveying projects. Knowledge of survey data processing and mapping workflows. Familiarity with Carlson, Trimble Business Center, Civil 3D, or similar software. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Survey field experience is a plus. Commitment to professional growth and development. CAD Technician The CAD Technician will be responsible for: Producing survey plats, maps, exhibits, and technical drawings. Processing field data and supporting drafting production efforts. Supporting boundary, ALTA, topographic, and construction survey projects. Collaborating with project managers and field personnel. Maintaining drafting standards and quality control procedures. Assisting with implementation of new software and workflows. Delivering accurate and timely project documentation. The CAD Technician should have the following qualifications: Experience drafting survey projects in a professional environment. Proficiency with Carlson, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or similar software. Strong understanding of survey workflows and terminology. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Survey field experience is a plus. Interest in learning and adapting to evolving technologies.
