Survey Technician (Civil 3D)
Salary:
$70,000-$85,000 + Benefits We're looking for an experienced Survey Technician who enjoys turning field data into accurate, high-quality deliverables that keep construction projects moving. This position is ideal for someone who is highly proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and has experience supporting construction surveying operations through office-based drafting, data processing, stakeout preparation, and as-built production. You'll work closely with Survey Project Managers and field crews while taking ownership of the technical drafting and data preparation that supports a wide variety of civil and construction projects. What You'll Be Doing Process and analyze survey data using AutoCAD Civil 3D Prepare stakeout sketches, point files, coordinate files, and DXF files for construction layout Produce accurate and professional As-Built drawings Calculate earthwork volumes and material quantities Prepare cut sheets and field sketches for survey crews Organize and manage survey drawings using Xrefs, Dynamic Blocks, Layers, and proper CAD standards Review civil, structural, and architectural plans to support surveying and construction layout Collaborate with Survey Project Managers and field personnel to ensure accurate project execution What We're Looking For Required Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D Solid understanding of survey points, point groups, CSV files, coordinate systems, and survey data management Ability to calculate pipe slopes and interpret grading information Experience reading civil engineering, architectural, and construction plans Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams Preferred Experience using Agtek Earthwork 3D Earthwork modeling and volume calculations Material quantity takeoffs from construction plans Experience with Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Dropbox Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary: $70,000-$85,000, depending on experience Comprehensive benefits package Opportunity to work on diverse construction and land development projects Collaborative team environment with opportunities for professional growth If you're an experienced Survey Technician looking for a role where your Civil 3D expertise will have a direct impact on project success, we'd love to hear from you.
