We are committed to excellence in surveying services and are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Survey CAD Technician to join our growing team.
Position Overview:
As a Survey CAD Technician working with our team in Mount Laurel, NJ, you will play a crucial role in transforming field survey data into precise and comprehensive digital drawings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer-aided design (CAD), proficiency in relevant software, and the ability to collaborate with surveying teams to produce accurate and high-quality deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Convert field survey data into CAD drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant software. Prepare detailed survey plats, topographic maps, and construction staking drawings. Collaborate with Survey Party Chiefs and project managers to understand project requirements. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of CAD drawings, incorporating survey data and project specifications. Organize and manage CAD files and project documentation in a systematic manner. Assist in the resolution of technical issues related to CAD drawings and survey data. Review and interpret survey field notes, sketches, and data to create accurate digital representations. Stay up-to-date on industry standards and advancements in surveying CAD technology. Provide support to survey teams in the interpretation and utilization of CAD drawings. Collaborate with other CAD technicians and team members to maintain consistency in drafting standards.
Qualifications:
Associate degree or technical certificate in Computer-Aided Design or a related field desired. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Survey CAD Technician. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software. Strong understanding of surveying principles and terminology. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in CAD drafting. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Familiarity with land surveying standards and practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of GIS software is a plus.
