Job Description

We're seeking a Survey CAD Technician to join a growing civil engineering and land surveying team in Phillipsburg, NJ. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented CAD professional who enjoys collaborating with survey crews and engineers, producing accurate drawings, and contributing to projects that shape local communities. What You'll Do Draft boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, topographic and existing conditions plans, and route surveys. Prepare and revise municipal tax maps. Import survey points, create surfaces, and generate profiles and cross-sections using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Maintain CAD standards while ensuring accuracy and consistency across deliverables. Work closely with project managers, surveyors, and field crews to deliver high-quality plans on schedule. What We're Looking For 4+ years of experience as a Survey CAD Technician or in a related CAD drafting role. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D (MicroStation experience a plus). Knowledge of survey points, feature lines, surfaces, and profiles. Strong understanding of land surveying principles, legal descriptions, and mapping standards. High attention to detail, organizational skills, and strong communication. Technical degree, CAD certification, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
