Job Description
Energy Land & Infrastructure (ELI) continues to grow and is currently seeking a responsible, highly motivated, and detail-oriented individual to join our growing surveying team working in Toledo (Maumee) OH. The position has opportunity for advancement for motivated individuals willing to learn the skills and technology required. The Survey CAD/Field Technician responsibilities encompass the preparation of survey documents covering boundary surveys, route surveys, pipeline surveys, topographic surveys, construction layout, as-built surveys, and aerial (UAS/drone) surveying. The position requires knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D software and compatible survey specific software packages. Must be able to assist in the field on the project site as needed. The selected candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Surveyors to complete desired project scope of services with respect to drawing or plan requirements. The ideal candidate would demonstrate a growing degree of judgment and capabilities in a team-oriented environment with 3+ years of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Open Roads Designer, or Trimble Business Center experience. General tasks associated with this position include the following: Survey CAD Related Responsibilities Survey production and drafting support in AutoCAD Civil 3D (Field to Finish) Technical plans development Field survey CAD support As built production Survey base mapping & surface creation Easement exhibit creation Boundary survey support LiDAR and Scan Data processing Point Cloud registratio Processing survey field notes and field survey files Design and production staff team support Maintaining an organized file system for production drawings Drawing finished surveys from sketches and concepts under the direction of the Surveyor Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs Survey Field Related Responsibilities Survey data collection using GNSS, robotics, or conventional methods in accordance with corporate and/or client standards. Assists in the daily field operations of a one-, two- or three-man survey crew. Providing daily reports Maintain company equipment as well as the company truck. Working with a team on most projects. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. Travel may occasionally be required on an as needed basis and must be able to work overtime. This position is primarily office based but may require the applicant to sometimes work in outdoor conditions and must be able to lift and carry survey equipment.
