This is an opportunity for an experienced survey professional to take ownership of construction staking projects, lead from the front, and play a key role in delivering high-quality work in the field and the office. As a Survey Office Technician, you'll work with cutting-edge survey technology, collaborate closely with project teams and contractors, and help mentor and develop survey staff while keeping projects moving safely, accurately, and on schedule. What You'll Do Lead and support construction staking, boundary, topographic, and as-built surveys, ensuring accuracy, quality, and efficiency in both field and office work. Prepare construction staking data and alignments for field crews using Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center. Import, process, and export survey data collected from or for use in GPS, conventional, and scanning theogies. Perform quality control checks on survey data collected utilizing conventional, GPS, and scanning technologies, in addition to construction staking deliverables. Coordinate survey crew scheduling, equipment tracking, and day-to-day field operations. Train and mentor survey crew chiefs and staff in survey methods, equipment use, safety, and AKS standards. Who You Are You have at least 5 years of experience as a construction staking crew chief. You bring a strong working knowledge of land surveying principles, survey control, construction surveying, and map preparation. You are proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and comfortable working in Trimble Business Center. You have hands-on experience with modern survey equipment, including Trimble total stations, GNSS receivers, scanners, and data collectors. You're organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. You have a valid U.S. driver's license and a clean driving record. Nice to Have Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or a related field. Land Survey Intern (LSI) or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification. Experience with Faro scanners and Faro Scene software. Experience with Trimble Access, SX10/SX12 scanners, and Dini levels. Interest in researching and implementing new survey technologies. Why AKS?
