Job Description

What We're Looking For:
Michael Baker International is seeking a part-time Bridge CADD Technician Intern for our Bridge group in our Moon Township, PA office. The Intern will work part-time while gaining the necessary skills and experience to further their CADD abilities in a meaningful and productive way. Interns will be expected to work in an office setting learning under the direction of civil engineering professionals.
What You'll Do:
The Intern will assist in developing the deliverables on a variety of structure design projects with technical duties including: Efficiently becoming proficient in 2D/3D CADD software through tutorials and on the job training Preparing engineering related drawings and visual aids using 2D/3D CADD software Drafting structural details and making CADD revisions Developing and/or checking reinforcing bar charts for structural members Working under the supervision of a senior level team member Assisting with data collection, input, verification, and manipulation What You Need to
Succeed:
Interest in p ursuing a potential Bridge CADD Technician position after completion of the internship High School Diploma Successful completion of high school geometry Strong organizational skills Proficiency with MS Office software such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint Technical skills for daily tasks include good analytical skills, strong technical writing ability, and excellent communication skills Previous CADD software experience or formal CADD educationis a plus
Compensation:
The approximate compensation range for this position is $17 per hour. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
