When you join our Land Survey operation, you'll be working with a company who has offered these services for over 65 years. With such a history and excellent reputation, we're one of the largest land survey operations in Indiana and one of the most tenured in the Midwest. As a Field Technician, your learning will be accelerated by being mentored by Crew Chiefs and licensed land surveyors averaging 20 years experience.
Role Specifics:
Our fast growth and projected backlog into 2027 is creating three new Field Technician opportunities. You will be trained and gain experience in one or more of four types of services: transportation staking, boundary & topographic surveying, private construction staking, and utility locating. Over time, you may begin to specialize in one or two of these as you learn and grow.Career Path:
With success as a Field Technician, you'll be ready for promotion to Crew Chief in about two to three years and then be assigned a company F-150. Another career option is to complete some college coursework to become eligible to be a licensed land surveyor. And from there, you can either choose to remain in the field or consider a Project Surveyor or Project Management role in the office. Weihe Engineers provides land surveying services mainly in the Greater Indianapolis and Central Indiana region which nearly eliminates overnight travel for our crews.
