A Surveying or Mapping Technician works with surveyors and cartographers to gather data and create maps. Visits sites and records survey measurements and descriptive data. Selects data needed to create maps, including photos, aerial photos and satellite information, and helps produce and update maps that show boundaries or topographical information.

Job Description

We are partnering with our client to find a Survey CAD Technician who will convert field survey data into accurate technical drawings and maps, supporting engineering and construction projects.
Required:
Associates Degree in Civil Engineering or Surveying - CST Level I or II (Office) certification preferred. 3+ years of Surveying experience in preparing survey-related deliverables and project management in Construction, Boundaries, and Topographic Surveys. Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, with Autodesk Civil 3D (v. 2020-2024) and Carlson Software. Proficient in use of Microstation and OpenRoads is a plus. Must have boundary and right of way resolution experience. Knowledge of surveying practices and procedures (Field & Office). Ability to read and interpret plats deeds, easements and plans. Must be able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. A valid driver's license is required. Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Developing and modifying 2D and 3D CAD drawings for survey projects using Civil 3D and GIS tools. Processing field data from surveys, construction reports, and engineering drawings to create accurate maps, plats, and technical documents. Performing survey calculations, construction layout computations, and analyzing deeds or research materials to support project deliverables. Coordinating with engineers, drafters, and field crews to ensure all survey data is accurately captured and integrated into project plans. Maintaining organized project files and adhering to company CAD standards and workflows.
Pay:
