Heath Consultants is actively recruiting full-time traveling technicians who live and travel in their RVs( 80% travel required) . We provide an RV site stipend, travel pay between assignments, and steady field work - so you can keep moving while building a real career in natural gas safety.
The Opportunity:
Built for the RV Lifestyle This is not your average field technician role. As a Traveling Leak Survey Technician, you will rotate across assigned territories - inspecting natural gas distribution systems, detecting leaks with advanced equipment, and ensuring the communities we serve are safe. We designed this position with the full-time RVer in mind: Monthly RV site stipend to offset campground costs Monday-Friday schedule with predictable hours Travel pay while driving between assignments No cold winters or hot summers stuck in one place New territories mean new scenery - always moving Steady income without being desk-bound What You'll Do Protect Communities Inspect natural gas distribution systems across assigned territories Conduct leak surveys using industry-leading gas detection technology Accurately document findings and complete compliance reports Follow strict safety protocols and federal/local regulations Communicate professionally with homeowners and members of the public Your daily work helps prevent hazardous situations and keeps the communities you visit safe - wherever the road takes you. Work Outdoors & Stay Active This role is made for people who thrive outside.You will:
Walk approximately 4-7 miles per day Work in varied terrain and weather conditions Bend, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds Stay on your feet throughout your shift Operate Specialized Equipment Heath provides comprehensive paid training and industry certifications. No prior gas industry experience required - we train you from day one and set you up to succeed in the field. Compensation & RV Support Package We built this package to make the traveling technician lifestyle financially sustainable: Competitive Base Pay Paid weekly - know exactly when your check arrives RV Site Stipend Monthly stipend to offset campground and site costs Travel Pay Paid mileage/travel compensation while driving between assignments Vehicle Allowance $800/month personal vehicle allowance Fuel Card $300/month fuel card Phone Allowance Up to $40/month Paid Training Full paid instructor-led training and certifications Referral Bonus $1,500 for each successful employee referralPOV Program Requirements:
Active auto insurance (min. 100/300/100 or $300,000 CSL), proof of insurance at renewal, and a vehicle meeting Heath standards (4-door, backup camera, hands-free capable, professional appearance).Full Benefits:

High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license with a safe driving record Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check Reliable personal vehicle meeting program standards Proficiencywith smartphones and tablets for field reporting Ability to read and interpret utility maps Strong reliability, accountability, and a safety-first mindset Ability to use basic hand tools Ability to work both independently and as part of a team No industry experience required.
