Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive land surveys including boundary, topographic, ALTA (American Land Title Association) surveys, and construction staking using advanced surveying equipment such as GPS systems, 3D scanners, and Total Stations. Operate and maintain surveying tools including GIS software, Trimble devices, MicroStation, Civil 3D, Carlson, Revit, ArcGIS, and other CAD platforms to collect and analyze spatial data Manage surveying teams in the field and office to ensure accurate data collection, mapping accuracy, and timely project delivery. Collaborate with civil engineers and project managers to interpret construction plans and ensure survey data supports project milestones. Lead efforts in managing surveying data collection for large-scale projects involving GPS surveying, land development, and construction surveys. Ensure compliance with safety standards while operating surveying equipment such as theodolites, laser scanners, and other field instruments Oversee the integration of survey data into CAD software for drafting purposes and coordinate with design teams using Revit or Civil 3D for model creation. Qualifications Proven experience in land surveying or civil engineering projects with a focus on construction surveys or topographic mapping. Proficiency in operating surveying equipment including GPS systems (Trimble), 3D scanners, total stations, and related field tools. Strong skills in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation or similar platforms; familiarity with GIS applications like ArcGIS is highly desirable. Ability to interpret construction plans, schematics, legal descriptions, and technical drawings accurately Experience with managing mapping or surveying teams on large infrastructure projects involving GPS surveying or construction site layout. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail; capable of handling multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with engineers, project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
