Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Party Chief to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead surveying projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data collection and analysis. This role requires a strong understanding of land surveying principles, proficiency in relevant software, and the ability to manage a team effectively. As a Party Chief, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality survey results for various civil engineering and utility projects. Responsibilities Lead and supervise surveying teams on-site to ensure accurate data collection and project completion. Conduct land surveys using advanced equipment such as GPS, 3D scanners, and total stations. Prepare and maintain detailed survey records, including notes, sketches, and reports. Utilize CAD software to draft plans and layouts based on survey data is a plus. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to discuss project requirements and timelines. Apply mathematical concepts, including Trigonometry, to solve surveying problems effectively. Train junior staff on surveying techniques and equipment operation. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices during all surveying activities. Requirements Proven experience in land surveying with a strong understanding of surveying principles. Proficiency in software such as Trimble Access, Civil 3D is a plus, and Microsoft for data collection, staking, drafting, and data downloads/analysis. Strong mathematical skills with the ability to apply Trigonometry in practical scenarios. Experience with 3D scanning technology is preferred. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all work performed. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while adhering to safety protocols. A valid driver's license and good driving record is required for travel to job sites.
