Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Survey Project Manager to lead and coordinate land surveying projects across diverse sectors. This pivotal role involves overseeing all phases of survey operations, from initial planning and data collection to final deliverables, ensuring projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of land surveying techniques, civil engineering principles, and advanced drafting and mapping software. As a Survey Project Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering precise geospatial data that supports infrastructure development, land development, and construction projects worldwide. Duties Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of land surveying projects, ensuring alignment with client specifications and regulatory requirements. Manage field survey teams utilizing GPS, 3D scanners, and other data collection tools to gather accurate geospatial information. Oversee the use of CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Revit for drafting schematics, topographic maps, and detailed plans. Apply advanced mathematical concepts including trigonometry, algebra, and geometry to calculate coordinates, elevations, and land boundaries. Utilize GIS platforms like ArcGIS to analyze spatial data and produce comprehensive maps for project documentation. Coordinate with clients, engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met within scope and timeline. Ensure all survey activities adhere to industry standards such as ALTA surveys and construction staking protocols. Prepare detailed reports, schematics, and technical documentation for project submission and review. Maintain quality control by reviewing survey data for accuracy and consistency before final delivery. Supervise the calibration and maintenance of surveying equipment including Trimble units and total stations. Experience Proven experience managing land surveying projects within civil engineering or related fields. Extensive knowledge of land surveying techniques including GPS positioning, total station operation, 3D scanning technology, and data processing. Proficiency in drafting software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, and Carlson for creating detailed schematics. Strong understanding of GIS applications like ArcGIS for spatial analysis and mapping. Familiarity with construction processes and the application of survey data in construction staking. Solid grasp of mathematical principles including trigonometry, algebra, geometry, and their practical applications in surveying. Experience working with CAD systems (CAD), Land Surveying standards (ALTA surveys), Schematics development, Data Collection methodologies. Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
