Responsibilities Lead and manage surveying teams in the field, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality data collection. Operate and troubleshoot advanced surveying equipment such as GPS systems, total stations, 3D scanners, and data collectors like Trimble. Conduct boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, topographic mapping, construction surveys, and legal descriptions with precision. Utilize CAD software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, Carlson, and ArcGIS for drafting and processing survey data. Perform field surveying tasks involving GPS surveying, land boundary determination, schematics creation, and managing mapping or surveying teams. Collect accurate surveying data for construction plans, schematics, and topographic maps while adhering to project specifications. Manage project documentation including survey reports, legal descriptions, construction plans, and survey data logs. Collaborate with civil engineers and project managers to interpret survey results and support project planning efforts. Skills Proficiency in GIS applications, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Carlson, Revit, ArcGIS and other CAD software. Strong understanding of land surveying principles including boundary determination, topographic mapping, and ALTA surveys. Experience operating surveying equipment such as GPS units (including Trimble), total stations, 3D scanners, and laser scanners. Knowledge of civil engineering concepts related to construction surveys and schematics. Skilled in managing surveying teams in dynamic environments with a focus on safety and accuracy. Solid grasp of math including algebra, trigonometry, geometry for precise calculations in the field and office. Ability to interpret legal descriptions and create detailed construction plans aligned with project requirements. Excellent project management skills with experience coordinating multiple survey tasks simultaneously. Familiarity with land development processes including managing mapping or surveying teams for large-scale projects.
