Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Survey Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting land surveying projects by utilizing advanced technology and analytical skills. This position involves working with various surveying tools, including 3D scanners and GPS equipment, to collect and analyze data for accurate land measurements and mapping. Responsibilities Operate and maintain surveying equipment, including 3D scanners and GPS devices (Trimble), to gather precise measurements. Conduct land surveys using trigonometry, geometry, and mathematical principles to ensure accuracy in data collection. Utilize software such as Trimble Access, Carlson Survey and Adobe PDF for data analysis, mapping, and project documentation. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to interpret survey data and provide insights for project development. Prepare detailed reports on survey findings, including maps and diagrams that reflect the collected data. Assist in the planning and execution of field surveys while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Maintain organized records of survey data and ensure all equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly. Requirements Proficiency in using 3D scanning technology and GPS systems for land surveying tasks. Trimble Equipment Strong understanding of trigonometry, geometry, and other mathematical concepts relevant to surveying. Experience with Carlson and Trimble software for data analysis and mapping purposes is preferred. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets accurately. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Previous experience in land surveying or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
