Senior Surveyor:

DUTIES - Survey of ships in order to guarantee the compliance with US and international safety and security regulations and offshore installations safety critical system under Classification and Verification schemes. Lead and manage a team of surveyors to maintain an effective and competitive level of service delivery that meets client expectations and adheres to internal standards. Ensure that personnel under my supervision are consistently and thoroughly prepared for job execution, including gathering and reviewing information in order to eliminate or minimize employees' exposure to risks by regularly reviewing the health and safety risk register, applying appropriate controls, communicating results of risk assessments, and ensuring that health and safety are considered in the planning and execution of all company activities. Provide good control of assigned work to the team under my supervision, including communicating with clients, financial control, and timely and accurate reporting and also monitor and review quality metrics for the team, suggesting and implementing recommendations for continual improvement.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Engineering, or related Marine and Naval engineering fields and 6 years of senior surveyor experience to involve: (1) working with a Classification Society; (2) knowledge of statutory regulations concerning the Flag of marine vessel; (3) ability to make decisions about alternative means to comply with regulations; (4) practical field experience with marine equipment and structures; (5) working with ship's hull & structure, surveys of ship's hull damage and repairs, surveys of ship's dry docking and bottoms; and (6) ship's machinery, including surveys of main and auxiliary engines, and electrical equipment and control engineering.
