Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Survey Crew Rodman/Instrument Man to join our land surveying team. In this vital role, you will assist in the collection of accurate field data, operate and maintain survey instruments, and support the crew in executing precise land surveys. Your energetic approach and commitment to quality will contribute to successful project completion, ensuring clients receive reliable and detailed survey information for construction and land development projects. Duties Assist the lead surveyor with setting up survey equipment such as total stations, GPS units, and data collectors. Operate hand tools and heavy lifting equipment safely to transport and position survey instruments and materials on-site. Collect accurate field data including measurements, elevations, and land features. Support in performing land surveying tasks such as establishing property boundaries and verifying existing land records. Use GPS technology for precise positioning and data collection across various terrains. Assist in maintaining detailed field notes, sketches, and schematic diagrams for project documentation. Participate in construction site surveys to ensure alignment with project plans and schematics. Maintain survey equipment by performing routine inspections, cleaning, calibration, and troubleshooting as needed. Qualifications Strong willingness to learn is essential. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and coordinating with clients or authorities. Must have a good driving record. Physical stamina to stand, walk long distances on varied terrain, lift heavy equipment safely, and work outdoors in different weather conditions.
