Survey Party Chief

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled party chief to join our team. The ideal candidate needs to be driven and able to work alone. The pay is per job and not hourly. Each job can range from $20-$70 each and there can be anywhere from 5-20 in a day. The position will be for construction surveying for residential homes in multiple neighborhoods in the Palmetto, Parrish and Bradenton area. Must be able to run a total station and base/rover equipment (mostly trimble). Duties Building staking (mostly hub and tack in 4 corners with a grade stake in the middle) Record form and foundation surveys with simple field notes. Able to send and receive .txt and .raw files. Valid license and able to drive between job sites while carrying equipment and material. Apply geometry and math skills to solve problems related to surveying and construction. Maintain equipment and ensure all tools are in good working condition. Requirements Proficiency in drafting software such as Civil 3D is preferred but not necessary. Strong math skills, including geometry, for accurate calculations. Familiarity with land surveying practices and principles is advantageous. Experience with data collection techniques and data analysis skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing project needs. This position is for someone who is hungry and self-motivated. It is contract work so benefits will not be provided but mileage reimbursement will be. There is room to grow with the company as we expand.
