SurvTech has an opening for a Party Chief in the Sanford office. The following position description outlines the required and preferred skills for the job, as well as the benefits you can expect to receive as part of the SurvTech team. The Party Chief is responsible for the field crew and all field related activities. They lead the crew to ensure the survey is completed, meeting the scope requirements within time and budget constraints. Common tasks for a Party Chief include: Communication with project managers about the project scope and best practices required to complete the project. Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and redlines. Verify the accuracy of survey data, including electronic data, field notes and photographs. Communication with clients and landowners will be required at times. Travel around the State will be required from time to time. Required Skills and Knowledge A willingness to learn new skills. Knowledge of survey field equipment. A strong sense of initiative and motivation. The ability to lead a crew on-site while keeping safety top of mind. The ability to use Microsoft Excel and basic PDF editing software. Verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail. A valid driver's license. The ability to perform physical labor - strenuous walking, lifting, and hauling equipment. Preferred Skills and Knowledge Knowledge of pipelines or other utility infrastructure. Knowledge and experience using underground utility locating equipment.
