A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Position Description:
The Briar Team , Central Florida's top family-owned Site Development Construction company, is looking for hard-working, experienced, and reliable Survey Crew Chief for immediate hire with excellent pay and benefits, performance bonuses, profit sharing, generous paid time off and yearly loyalty bonuses, in addition to training and opportunities for growth. We are looking for someone with a solid background in leadership for our Survey Crew Chief position. As a Survey Chief, you will provide support in a variety of construction projects. To be successful in this position, you must work well as the leader of a team, be able to train and instruct new crew members in their individual tasks, enjoy working outdoors, and be able to perform strenuous physical tasks.

Weekly 6:30am-4:30pm Monday through Friday with Saturdays on an as-needed basis PTO at 6 months Yearly Performance and Bonuses Paid Holidays Paid Birthdays 401K Profit Sharing Generous and affordable Benefits starting at 60 days of employment.
Position Requirements:
Job Requirements for
Survey Crew Chief:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in construction or plumbing is preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience in Surveying and GPS Systems or related construction work At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or foreman role Strong knowledge of site development Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents Proficient in using survey tools, iPads or computers and GPS equipment Excellent leadership and team management skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Commitment to safety standards and regulations Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions Valid driver's license (We will require a passing MVR check before an offer of employment can be made) Willingness to travel to various job sites as required
