This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in land surveying, data collection, and construction projects. This role involves physical activity, including heavy lifting, and requires a commitment to safety and accuracy in fieldwork. This is a full time outdoor position. Responsibilities Assist with land surveying tasks including data collection, GPS measurements, and utility locating Operate survey equipment such as total stations, and GPS units Conduct field measurements and record data accurately for project documentation Perform basic land surveying calculations involving trigonometry, algebra, and geometry Use hand tools for equipment setup and minor adjustments in the field Help with construction site layout and verification based on schematics and design plans Maintain safety protocols while working on-site in various environments Assist with data analysis to support project planning and execution Skills Experience or familiarity with land surveying tools such as GPS devices and total stations is a plus Proficiency with CAD software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, or Carlson is a plus Knowledge of GIS applications like ArcGIS or GIS data collection techniques is desirable Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively in the field Familiarity with construction processes and schematics interpretation Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during fieldwork activities Good communication skills for teamwork and reporting findings accurately This position provides valuable training opportunities in land surveying technology and civil engineering practices. Candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks while demonstrating attention to detail and a commitment to safety standards.
