What they do
A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Job Description
The role regularly requires:
Walking and standing for extended periods throughout the workday. Moving throughout active construction sites and navigating uneven terrain. Climbing stairs, ladders, and accessing elevated areas of construction. Working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain. Working at heights and around active construction equipment. Lifting and carrying survey equipment, materials, and tools weighing 50 pounds or more as needed. Wearing required jobsite PPE, including hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses, and work boots. Travel & Work Schedule This is a full-time, on-site position requiring regular travel to Martin Concrete project locations across the United States.
