A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Solar Site Surveyor to join our team in Hills, IA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in conducting site assessments for solar installations, a passion for renewable energy, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.Key Responsibilities:
- Perform site surveys for residential solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
- Assess and document site conditions, including roof measurements, shading analysis, and structural integrity.
- Collect and document data on electrical systems, including panel locations and breaker panel capacity.
- Provide accurate and detailed site survey reports to the design and installation teams.
- Ensure all site surveys comply with local codes and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain the survey process and address any questions or concerns.
- Work closely with the installation team to ensure a smooth transition from survey to installation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and components.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Excellent physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- NABCEP certification is highly desirable.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly wage of $18
- 23 per hour, based on experience.
