Miles East of Yellow Pine, ID Description:
About the Role Inline USA is seeking a skilled and experienced Survey Crew Chief to provide on-site leadership and oversight for our field crews. This role is responsible for day-to-day project execution, safety performance, quality assurance, scheduling, and strong client relations. This position is based at our Yellow Pine camp and follows a 14-days-on, 7-days-off rotation. Candidates can be based out of Boise, with travel accommodations provided to and from site for each rotation. What You`ll
Be Doing:
Safety first, always - Take an active role in site safety meetings, strictly follow all site-specific requirements, and lead by example to promote safe work practices. Encourage safety interventions and help maintain a culture where safety and quality come first. High-tech fieldwork - Operate advanced survey equipment like total stations, GPS, and laser scanners to gather highly accurate field data. Ensure calibration and use of the right tools for each phase of the project to deliver precision surveying. Hands-on surveying - Perform layout, construction, and as-built surveys. Assist with excavation, backfill, and the placement of underground utilities, foundations, roads, and subgrade materials. Provide precise layouts for anchor bolts, structural foundations, piping, equipment placement, steel structures, and other critical installations. Technical Reporting - Prepare detailed survey reports, sketches, and comprehensive field notes. Support and manage data deliverables using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant software. Maintain accurate records of field data, calculations, and site conditions to support project transparency and accuracy.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Minimum of 5+ years of surveying experience and bachelor`s degree in surveying/Geomatics, related post-secondary education, or equivalent field experience.
  • Dependable, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Certified UAV Pilot
  • Licensed Idaho Land Surveyor considered an asset
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and walk 10-12 hours per day in varying weather and terrain.
  • Valid Driver`s License.
  • Ability to take direction, listen carefully, learn quickly, and apply instruction from supervisors effectively. What`s in it for you?
