Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. Job Description

TWM is seeking an experienced Survey Coordinator to support our surveying and geospatial operations in Illinois. This position will assist with project delivery, workload coordination, staff support, and the daily survey operations in our Decatur, IL office. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating survey personnel, projects, and day-to-day operations while maintaining high standards of quality and client service. This individual will work closely with field and office staff to help ensure projects are delivered safely, accurately, on schedule, and within budget while supporting the continued growth and success of TWM's survey team.
Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours/week, with the possibility of additional hours
Salary:
$80,000-$100,000 - salary is commensurate with experience
Location:
Based in Decatur, IL Essential job functions:
  • Assist with coordinating survey project schedules, deliverables, and the day-to-day operations of the survey team
  • Provide guidance and support to survey field and office staff. Coordinate survey personnel schedules, workloads, and resource allocation to support project execution and communication between field crews and office staff.
  • Support project quality by performing or coordinating QA/QC reviews of survey deliverables
  • Conduct site/field visits as needed
  • Collaborate with Transportation, Land Development, Structural, Water/Wastewater, and Geospatial staff to support multidisciplinary project delivery.
  • Assist with coordinating survey equipment, technology, vehicles, and resource needs
  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
Qualifications Desired:
  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or on the licensure track, a plus. Significant survey operations and staff management experience will be considered in lieu of licensure.
  • 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in land surveying. Strong understanding of land surveying principles, field-to-finish workflows, and survey operations
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects and work collaboratively with field and office staff
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience coordinating survey field and office teams
  • Dedication to fostering teamwork and promoting TWM's culture
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
