A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

The Instrumentman will operate the equipment used for surveying under the supervision of a Party Chief. The Instrumentman will be a champion and leader of our company core values, while maintaining internal and external client engagement and satisfaction.

Some responsibilities include:

Loading equipment required for the project into the company vehicle before traveling to the job site Operating survey equipment including but not limited to Total Station, GPS, Data Collector, RTK, Magnetometer (land), Tinker and Rasor, M-Scope, Vivax, Radiodetection, and Gradiometer (water) Safely and effectively cutting and clearing brush and trees from the line of survey Probing pipelines by pushing and pulling probing rods Assisting in keeping field notes and making basic calculations that are needed to perform stakeouts

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of two (2) years directly related industry experience Valid and current driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to travel for overnight and/or extended stay projects as required
