A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Conduct a site survey with company-provided tools and equipment. Document site with a camera using company app. Effectively and professionally communicate with the customer to inform them of your process and timeline. Prompt and regular communication with Ion Solar's scheduling team.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to work on a residential roof. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to follow instructions. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to use hand and power tools. Proficient math skills to calculate the number of materials needed. Ability to use ION technology, such as Paycom, FieldPro, Salesforce, and smartphones Must possess a valid
Driver's License Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Basic knowledge of roofing and construction: materials involved, roof types and terms, etc. Basic knowledge of residential electrical systems and associated vocabulary.
Driving Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years old Must have a clean driving record as determined by a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work at heights. Physically able to climb, stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time Must use earplugs around loud equipment and wear gloves, safety glasses, and other protective gear.
