What they do
A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Job Description
Include:
Perform construction staking, topographic surveys, boundary and NSPS surveys, tree and wetland surveys, asbuilt surveys, level loops, setting site control, etc. Guide and teach crew members. Utilize Leica survey equipment, robotics, and GPS. Essential Skills for Performing the Job for Survey Crew Chief Self-motivated Timely Detail oriented Portray Professionalism Ability to work independently or collaboratively Verbal and written communication skills Required Education and Experience for Survey Crew Chief High School Diploma. 2+ years in land surveying Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus Must have a Valid Driver's License in good standing, demonstrating safe driving habits and capable of being insured by our company policy.
