Job Description
This Opportunity WSP is currently searching for a Senior Geomatics Specialist to join our Midwest Region Geomatics Team in either Minneapolis, MN, Burnsville, MN, Kansas City, MO, or Detroit, MI . This position plays a critical role in delivering high-precision surveys and reality capture solutions for complex infrastructure, industrial, and related projects. The successful candidate will lead field crews in performing conventional and advanced survey operations, including dimensional control surveys, SLAM -based mobile scanning, and terrestrial laser scanning, supporting Transportation, Infrastructure, Energy, and other sectors. Responsibilities involve managing field operations on moderate- to large-scale, complex projects, ensuring accurate capture of spatial data and control networks used for boundary retracement, engineering design, construction verification, as-built documentation, and digital twin workflows. Generates accurate and concise survey deliverables including PLSS and control reports, boundary evidence recovery, scan registrations, and QA/QC documentation derived from conventional and 3D capture technologies. Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for safety, accuracy, and functionality. + Lead and mentor survey crew members in field operations, emphasizing safety, quality, and efficiency.
+ Collaborate with surveyors, geomatics technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure accurate field-to-finish workflows.
+ Provide training and guidance on survey principles, GNSS , dimensional control methods, SLAM scanning, and terrestrial LiDAR technologies.
+ Foster a culture of continuous improvement and adoption of emerging reality capture technologies. Clients

+ Serve as the primary field representative for survey and scanning operations on assigned projects.
