Job Description

Field Engineer / SURVEYOR TR Construction based in Omaha, NE is currently seeking an experienced Field Engineer to assist with our growing concrete construction business. TR Construction is a full-service concrete construction company with over 30 years of experience. Our reputation for quality workmanship, impeccable service, and the ability to complete projects in a timely manner speak volumes.
Position Description:
The field engineer will assist both the office and the field teams in obtaining, evaluating and coordinating all information needed to construct the project in accordance with the contract documents and to assure that the work meets all safety standards, is within schedule requirements, and is constructed to the highest level of quality possible.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform line and grade work for building layout and control as required.
  • Assist in the maintenance of contract documents and electronic web-based documents for field operations.
  • Review all work as it is being placed to be sure it is accurate within accepted tolerances.
  • Review contract drawings, specifications ad shop drawings to ensure proper coordination and placement.
Qualifications:
College degree with formal engineering or architectural training or equivalent construction experience preferred. Experience with robotic total stations and theodolites also preferred. Must have good interpersonal skills, desire to learn, ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing, and proficient in reading contract drawings as required to perform responsibilities. Requirements Have legal Unites States residency and work authorization status. Submit to a National Crime Information Center background check and be approved for access to DOD facilities. Have a current and valid driver's license or identification card and reliable personal transportation. Be able to pass pre-employment, random, and annual drug and alcohol screening.
