Field Surveyor:
In this role as an Instrument Person you would primarily be assisting the Survey Crew Chief in collecting land survey data. This is a great opportunity for candidates who enjoy working outdoors in hands-on roles. These are career-oriented positions where you will receive a lot of hands-on training in the field of land surveying with the hopes of you progressing within in the industry. What's in it for you? Responsibility Summary -Field Surveyor:
This person is responsible for assisting the Crew Chief in the operation of a field survey crew. The major objectives are the quality (accuracy, thoroughness, meeting regulatory requirements, public relations) of work, safety, and maintenance of equipment. Must operate equipment, maintain safe work environment, protect and maintain the equipment and vehicles, accurately and efficiently collect field data and locate features. Requires a lot of walking outside year round through all kinds of terrain and in extreme heat and cold. Qualification Summary -Field Surveyor:
High school diploma or GED required; preferred education in geography, surveying, engineering, geology or a related field of study Willingness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (prefer candidates with prior outdoor work experience) Willingness to travel overnight on occasion Good technical skills; computer-proficiency, mathematical equations, equipment operation/maintenance Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and ability to pass a urinary analysis drug screen #HPSimilar remote jobs
