A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Jones & Beach Engineers, Inc. is a diversified, New Hampshire-based civil/site engineering firm. We provide civil engineering, land surveying, and construction services to industrial, municipal, commercial, healthcare, and residential clients throughout the seacoast region of New Hampshire, northern Massachusetts, and southern Maine. The company is well established, having been in business since 1977. We have a dedicated team of 30+ civil engineers, surveyors, and administrative support staff. Candidates shall be able to perform physical tasks such as clearing brush, hammering grade stakes, and lifting and carrying approximately 40 lbs. of equipment in all types of terrain and year-round weather conditions.
